EngagementsWhen asked to sing at Charitable functions normally in churches or large houses, Anneke will tailor her programme as requested. She will when abroad present her recital in Dutch , French, German or Italian. Some of her recitals more recently were given in Paris, Powderham Castle, Devon, Vlissingen in The Netherlands and Flete House, Ermington. Her work for Charity included a performance at St Luke's Church, Chelsea, London.
Her sacred work includes passions and oratorio e.g. Rossini's Stabat Mater, with Clyst Valley Choral Society, and Michael Tippett's oratorio, 'A Child of our Time' at Exeter Cathedral with choir and orchestra mostly drawn from students and scholars from the University of Exeter. Her most recent recital with the pianist Jonathan Watts was at St. Mary's Church, Totnes and included songs by Duparc, Mahler and Rachmaninov. She furthermore sang at St. John's Church, Totnes the alto part in Bruckner's Mass in F-minor under the baton of John Railton with orchestra and preceded by a workshop. Saturday. 21st May, 2011, Anneke will be singing with Devon Guild the Pie Jesu of the Maurice Durufle's Requiem at Buckfast Abbey at 4pm. Lucy Railton will accompany her on the cello. |
